Excuse me, this post not related to BI which my blog talks about!
UPDATE (Sunday, Mar 7, 2010 at 2:39 am)
1- NOW 10 to 11 supports numbers with country code format +20 and 0020
2- NOW 10 to 11 supports migrating numbers with any known format.
After the decision of The Egyptian Agency for Telecommunications to change cell phone numbers 11 numbers instead of 10 http://www.masrawy.com/News/Egypt/Politics/2010/march/4/mobinil_vodafon_etisalat.aspx , I found it too tough to change your contacts number manually so I’ve developed this application to do that for you.
Simply my application 10 to 11 (thank you my mother, she suggested this name) iterates all outlook contacts not SIM contacts and modify the mobile phone number of your contacts to the new format\schema which The Egyptian Agency for Telecommunication announced earlier.

Vodafone
010 => 0100
016 => 0106
019 => 0109
Mobinil
012 => 0122
017 => 0127
018 => 0128
Etisalat
011 => 0111
014 => 0114
And you can choose what to change to the new format….
I prefer to backup you contacts by using this program PPCPimBackup get it from http://tinyurl.com/l8wh5a

Nice ya m3lm, but you should mention that this will apply on for devices with Windows mobile 5 and later, as these only the versions where you can iterate its contacts by .NET 🙂
Nice work ya m3lm 🙂
I didnt try it yet .. but i have a question does it support numbers with Egypt key included (i.e +20 , 0020)
Ramy, thank you so much for your valuable question, nope it doesn’t support +20 or 0020 but I’ll work on it in the next couple of hours, and upgrade the current version..
NOW 10 to 11 supports numbers with country code format +20 and 002…
Thank you for your really really valuable feedback…
I will try it, Thanks for the prompt response
great
awww, thats pretty awesome ramy (y)
Hey great app !
The problem is that I don’t have Windows Mobile, but I can sync my contacts with Outlook, so if can make another app that works on the PC instead of a Windows Mobile it would be great 🙂
will this work with BlackBerry?
Nope, Mohab it just works on Windows Mobile platform and as far I know BlackBerry has its OS.
Ramy, almost everybody can sync their contacts with Windows Contacts or Outlook’s contacts on the PC, so if you make a PC version of the app, everybody will be able to change their contacts to the new format on the PC then sync back to the phone.
Thanks, Hassan, I’ll try to release the desktop version ASAP, you’re always promoter.
Nice Work Man , what about Iphone
Ahmed Essam http://www.ahmed-essam.com/ is working on the IPhone version, but as far I know there’s not any releases till now.
(y) very good idea
